Understanding technology makes the experience of using it much better.
Hans Wijnand Buitelaar writes about maritime technology, innovation and the art of navigation.
Journalism: for over 20 years, Hans Wijnand has been writing for yachting magazines, professional magazines in yacht building, the maritime industry, shipbuilding and contributing yachting sections to lifestyle magazines.
Technical writing: creating manuals for superyacht crews, explaining all of the systems on board, with technical background, intended functioning, operating procedures and maintenance instructions. From design drawings, conversations with engineers and interviews with captains, very useful manuals are written. Clear texts and instructive photo’s come together to aid operators. In yachting but also in merchant shipbuilding, we deliver manuals. Installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance manuals for equipment aboard seagoing vessels are delivered in accordance with classification society standards.
Books: writing and final editing of books. Course books for the sailing permit (Klein Vaarbewijs 1 en 2), an instruction book about sail trim, a collection of articles about finding used yachts came from my pen.

Yacht deliveries. Having gained long time sailing and regatta racing experience, being skipper on charter yachts and sail instructor for aspiring yachties planning to rent a boat, acting as a flotilla leader and skipper and sailing delivery trips for brokers over the North Sea, we can bring your yacht to any destination. Additional training the Enkhuizen Nautical College provided renewed knowledge of maritime practise.
